SUS DIAMANTES - 77 LP - CBS Records (20.101)
Scarce original 1976 Costa Rica pressing of this Costa Rican group's LP. Nice clean copy!

VINYL CONDITION: EX to NM
COVER CONDITION: VG+

Here’s a general description of how we’ve graded the records we offer.  In some cases we may describe a record as being “VG+ to EX,” or some other combination of grades.  What this means is that it seems like the record either falls between the description of the grades as described below, or one side may be VG+ and the other EX.  As always, grading is in the eye of the beholder, and we try to grade our offerings in such a way that if we were buying the record and it was graded the way we’ve graded it, that we would be satisfied with how it was graded.

M: Mint (as new). It’s either still sealed, or it’s unsealed and we know for a fact that it has never been played.  Covers will be as new or still sealed in shrink wrap.

NM: Near Mint. The record has no marks or visible faults, like new, perhaps played once or twice, and has been very well cared for, with beautiful sheen.  Covers will have no creases, ring wear, or seam splits of any kind.  Perhaps a tiny corner ding or two, but all in all a clean, good quality cover.

EX:  Excellent. The record shows some sign of having been carefully played, perhaps some light surface scuffing from the inner sleeve, with minimal or no discernable effect on play, and with no significant distractions from the sound.  The record still has nice sheen, and there may be an occasional tick or pop here and there, but in general plays excellent.  Covers will have very minor wear -- no splits or tears, but may have one or two small blemishes or very minor light edge wear or ringwear, or tiny edge creasing and corner dings.

VG+: Very Good Plus. The record has been played regularly. There may be visual marks and light scratches or lines on the disc that have some effect on play -- crackles on several tracks, or a few more ticks and pops than an EX record, or some surface noise in quiet spots or between tracks. Record still has decent sheen, and plays fine for most purposes.  Cover will show a few more signs of wear than EX.  It may have minor defacing, minor writing, cut-out mark, some ringwear, edge wear or creasing.  May have stickers, small seam splits, or tiny tears or blemishes from the removal or a previous price tag. A solid decent cover.

VG: Very Good. The record has been played regularly and is showing signs of wear . May have many visual marks, and surface scratches, thus there may be numerous audible pops and crackles. Beginning to show signs of a lack of original sheen, and groove wear may be evident on sight, with some scratches that may cause repeating ticks or pops.  No skips of serious defects, but most likely will have some surface noise during quiet passages or between songs.  Covers will have multiple flaws, such as very obvious ringwear, heavy creasing, larger seam splits, small tears, and may have stickers and/or writing on the cover.  There may be minor moisture damage or small stains.

VG-. Very Good Minus. The record has been played many times, affecting the sound quality with pops and crackles, due to surface scratches and wear. In general there should be no skips or major flaws, and in most cases we will not list a record that is graded below VG-.  Covers will have multiple flaws, more so than a VG cover -- heavy ringwear or creasing, taped seam splits, tears, and may have stickers and/or writing on the cover.  Heavier moisture damage and staining.  Anything we list that is below a VG- cover will have a full description of flaws.
