The Animals THE ANIMALS Vinyl LP 33SX 1669 1964 First Press
The Animals, a five-piece band from north east England whose driving sound influenced Bob Dylan's decision in 1965 to work with musicians playing elector instruments. Its principal members were Eric Burdon from Newcastle, Alan Price from Durham, Hilton Valentine from North Shields, Tyne and Wear, Chas Chandler also from Tyne and Wear and John Steel from Gateshead.
I have graded the vinyl Very Good Plus, there are light marks where the record has been in and out of its sleeve and through use generally. It is still black and shiny and in a wonderful condition for it's age. This is the first pressing of the 1964 edition and so the price reflects, but I am open to fair and reasonable offers.
I have graded the sleeve Very Good Plus, the back cover does look a little grubby, no tears or marks, but because the back isn't laminated, it shows darkening and wear more easily.
Matrix / Runout (A-side runout stamped): XAX 2717-1N Matrix / Runout (B-side runout stamped): XAX 2718-1N Matrix / Runout (A-side label, in brackets): XAX.2717 Matrix / Runout (B-side label, in brackets): XAX.2718
Blue / black Columbia labels/Front laminated flip-back sleeve.
Although all editions have track B2 listed as "She Said Yeh" in the tracklist on the rear cover, B2 is listed as "She Said Yeah" on label side 2.
A very similar edition, The Animals has B2 listed as "She Said Yeh" on the label instead.
