(E) Set to be released blasphemously on Christmas Eve 2016, DUNKELHEIT PRODUKTIONEN is proud to present the highly anticipated second album of Germany's GOATBLOOD, “Veneration of Armageddon”. For the past five years, this chains- and bullet-bedecked power-duo have been polluting the metal underground with their belligerent brand of bestial black/death. A handful of demos as well as a split were vomited forth before GOATBLOOD's momentous debut album, “Adoration of Blasphemy and War”, in 2015. Ever aptly titled, “Adoration of Blasphemy and War” soundly put the band on the international map, and proved that new, gnarly twists can be made to the rigorous bestial metal template.
Alas, with a few more ensuing splits, time has come for the second GOATBLOOD album, equally aptly titled “Veneration of Armageddon”. If “Adoration of Blasphemy and War” pushed the envelope and punished the (un)willing listener, then “Veneration of Armageddon” gleefully takes that garish assault one step further. Across 18 tracks in a swift 'n' salacious 37 minutes, GOATBLOOD explode forth with a pulsing, pestilent savagery from which there is no reprieve. It's dank and disgusting, dungeon-toned and treacherous, whipping the listener into a hellish, hallucinogenic trance. And yet, for however unrelenting all these songs are, “Veneration of Armageddon” retains a rare, ever-elusive catchiness, GOATBLOOD here nodding as much to nascent grindcore like early BLOOD, EXTREME NOISE TERROR, and DOOM as they do BLASPHEMY, BEHERIT, and ARCHGOAT. In other words, it's simply everything that ingratiated 
“Adoration of Blasphemy and War” to the dieharder faithful, but taken to more extremes - and extremely memorable, in the process. Desecrate the birth of a bastard hobo with “Veneration of Armageddon”! (Text by Nathan Birk)
(D) Die geplante Veröffentlichung des Albums fällt nicht zufällig auf den Weihnachtsabend 2016: Dunkelheit Produktionen präsentiert dann das sehnlich erwartete zweite Album der Deutschen Truppe GOATBLOOD, „Veneration of Armageddon“. In den letzten fünf Jahren hat dieses mit Ketten und Munition behangene Duo sehr aktiv den Metal-Untergrund mit ihrem angriffslustigen Stil bestialischen Black/Death Metals verschmutzt. Eine Handvoll Demos und eine Split wurden vor dem ersten, folgenschweren GOATBLOOD-Album, „Adoration of Blasphemy and War“ (2015), ausgekotzt. Völlig angemessen betitelt erhob „Adoration of Blasphemy and War“ die Band nachhaltig in die internationale Aufmerksamkeit, und bewies, dass neue, raue Veränderungen am rigorosen Vorbild des bestialischen Metal immer noch möglich sind. 
Wie auch immer, mit ein paar darauffolgenden Splits ist nun die Zeit reif für das zweite GOATBLOOD-Album, das ebenfalls passend mit „Veneration of Armageddon“ betitelt wurde. Wo „Adoration of Blasphemy and War“ bereits an die Grenzen ging und den (un)willigen Zuhörer bestrafte, geht „Veneration of Armageddon“ mit einem barbarischen Grinsen noch einen Schritt weiter. Über 18 Tracks in etwas mehr als 36 kurzweiligen Minuten explodieren GOATBLOOD mit ihrer pulsierenden, ekelhaften Wildheit, von der es keine Atempause gibt, direkt ins Gesicht. Das Album ist klamm und widerlich, mit der Stimmung eines Kerkers voller Meuchler, und peitscht so den Zuhörer in eine höllische, halluzinogene Trance. Und doch, so unbarmherzig all diese Songs auch sind, behält „Veneration of Armageddon“ eine einzigartige, stets schwer fassbare Verfänglichkeit. GOATBLOOD neigen hier so viel zu aufkeimendem Grindcore wie frühen BLOOD, EXTREME NOISE TERROR und DOOM, wie auch zu Einflüssen von BLASPHEMY, BEHERIT und ARCHGOAT. 
Mit anderen Worten: Alles, womit „Adoration of Blasphemy and War“ sich bei den treuen Diehardern beliebt machte, wird auf „Veneration of Armageddon“ zu weiteren Extremen angehoben – und darüber gleichzeitig extrem gut erfassbar.
