Lou Reed was an American musician, singer, songwriter, and poet. After leaving the band Velvet Underground in 1970, Reed released 20-solo studio albums. "Berlin" is his third, released in 1973. A concept album, Berlin tells a tragic story of a couple's doomed struggle with drug addition and abuse (Jim & Caroline). Dark, disturbing, and beautiful. Classic Lou Reed, great piece of work.
