 Collectors Value: Med-High ($60.00 - $100.00)     Wynonie Harris (August 24, 1915 – June 14, 1969) was an American  and  singer of upbeat songs, featuring humorous, often  lyrics. He had fifteen   between 1946 and 1952. Harris is attributed by many music scholars to be one of the founding fathers of . His  is especially mentioned at least as a precursor to rock and roll.   "Good Rocking Tonight" was originally a  song released in 1947 by its writer,  and was covered by many recording artists (sometimes as Good Rockin' Tonight). The song includes the memorable refrain, "Well I heard the news, there's good rocking tonight!" The song anticipated elements of  music.

In fact, some reviewers state that Brown's version, or ' (depending on the source), is one of the contenders for the title of "first rock'n'roll record".
