THIS IS THE ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING OF STEELY DAN’S “CAN’T BUY A THRILL” THE VINYL IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. IT HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED. IT IS ALSO THE ORIGINAL GATEFOLD COVER! THIS COMES FROM MY FATHER’S COLLECTION. HE WORKED FOR ABC, RCA AND POLYDOR IN THE 1970’s. IT HAS SAT ON THE SHELF IN THE RECORD ROOM AND HAS NOT SEEN A RECORD NEEDLE IN DECADES OTHER THAN A QUICK TEST TO SELL NOW.

This is the debut studio album by the American rock band Steely Dan, released in November 1972 by ABC Records. The album was written Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, recorded in August 1972 at The Village Recorder in Los Angeles, and produced by Gary Katz. Its music features tight song structure and sounds from soft rock, folk rock, and pop, alongside philosophical, elliptically written lyrics.

VINYL CONDITION: THIS RECORD SOUNDS FANTASTIC. EXPECT LIGHT VISUAL AGE ON THE RECORD. VG+ TO EXCELLENT (EVERYONE HAS A DIFFERENT OPINION ON GRADING. I TRY TO CONSERVATIVELY GRADE MY RECORDS I WOULD SAY VG+ AT THE VERY LEAST. THIS IS VINYL. NOT DIGITAL. ANY RECORD IS BOUND TO HAVE LIGHT VINYL SURFACE NOISE IN QUIET SPOTS / TRANSITIONS. BE REASONABLE AND YOU’LL BE VERY HAPPY
COVER: OTHER THAN SLIGHT DINGS ON THE CORNERS, IT LOOKS GREAT! I’M HAPPY TO TAKE MORE PHOTOS
