The Buoys were an American band from the early 1970's, based in the Wilkes-Barre-Scranton, Pennsylvania area.  They are most famous for the banned song  'Timothy'  which was written for them.       "Timothy"  the song, was controversial as it relates to cannibalism.  It is one of the most bizarre hit singles in music history.  Timothy's unnerving story centers around three trapped coal miners.  Two of the starving men end up resorting to cannibalism against the songs title character.  The song peaked at  #17 on the Billboard Hot 100,  and lingered on the chart for eight weeks.  Scepter Records,  #SPS 24001,  STEREO,  no barcode.  The vinyl is in near mint condition and comes with the original lyrics sheet insert.  The gatefold cover is in excellent condition with a small drill hole in the front upper left.  Thank you for looking.  (Grading Order:  Mint, Near Mint, Excellent, Very Good+, Very Good, Good, etc...)
