Harry Chapin was an American singer, songwriter, producer, and hunger activist who fought to end world hunger. He is best known for his folk rock and pop songs. He achieved worldwide success in the 1970's and released 14 Hit Singles. "Greatest Stories Live" is a great live recording. He was a true entertainer with magnetism the audiences loved. Harry Chapin will live on as one of the few great storytellers, songwriters, and singers. His music was best when it was live. In 1981 Chapin was fatally injured in a fiery traffic collision with a semi-trailer truck, he died at age 38.
