If was a progressive rock and jazz band formed in 1969 by the late Dick Morrissey among others but had a varying cast of performers over the years. The album Not Just Another Bunch of Pretty Faces came out in 1974 and was the band's penultimate album. The tracks are much more rock-style than previous albums by the group. My wife says If is the best jazz-rock band of all time and who am I to disagree?
This album came from a house clearance I did in Chester where the owner kept her collection in immaculate condition. Although I cannot say for certain, I doubt very much whether this record has been played for decades. It is from a smoke free environment.
