'sludge metal' is an unfair moniker to brand this melodic, at times sweet and often sad mashup of pop sensibilities and harder crunching rock.
Luckily for these ears, they steer well away from the shouty, over-dramatic dungeon demon-voiced rot that many of their compatriots have turned to, and concentrate solely on churning out solid beautiful tunes that are quite often singalong (in a gruff voice) and certainly air-guitar worthy.
A personal, beautiful album following a strong thematic (cancer) that ultimately delivers on every single level..
