The Beatles - Please Please Me 4th UK Mono Press 1N/1N KT Tax Code VG+/VG+

Original 4th UK pressing from 1963 on yellow and black Parlophone labels. KT tax code stamped around spindle hole and 1N/1N matrix endings.

The vinyl visually grades around VG- with light, non feelable surface scratches and lots of paper scuffs when viewed under strong light. It play grades much better however VG+ to EX- with only a little light background crackle heard in the spaces between tracks and a few of the quieter sections. There is no major or particularly distracting crackle heard over the music that I could discern. It plays with lovely clear audio through 99% of the record and had no nasty pops, clicks, sticks or jumps. Truly a testament to these heavy pressed original mono copies. VG+ overall grade.

The sleeve is VG+ with some corner wear/storage wear. Some light handling wear on the rear too, but certainly nothing major at all. No writing, major rips or tears and a perfectly legible spine.

The original inner sleeve is unfortunately missing (hence the paper scuffing) so I have replaced it with a brand new poly lined inner. If I can find another “Emitex” sleeve in the shop I will replace it.

Overall this is a pretty decent playing copy made in the year of it’s original release. Sleeve is pretty decent too.
