SPECIMEN “Batastrophe” SIRE NM/VG GOTH PIONEERS 12” Mini Album KLF/Flesh For Lulu
LP surfaces are graded: NM condition—nearly flawless. Sleeve is graded: VG condition due to a 1” scrape on the cover that blends in with the artwork, so it’s hard to see. Inner sleeve is clear plastic & IRS Records branded (which was under the Sire banner). Please see photos of actual item on offer!
SPECIMEN “Batastrophe” is a 1983 SIRE Records (1-25054) mini-LP. Goth, Glam, Deathrock release from one of the first bands on the GOTH Scene; SPECIMEN who formed in Bristol in 1981, moved to London, and started the scene defining club; BATCAVE in Soho in 1982.
Band members included Jonathon Trevisick, Ollie Wisdom, & Johnny Melton aka Jonny Slut who went on to form KLF & Atomizer. Bassist Kev Mills went on to form Flesh For Lulu. Cover reads: “Specially-Priced 6 Cut Mini-Album.” This copy is NOT a Promo.
