Santana ~Moonflower:Double Gatefold Vinyl Record LP Album 1977, CBS 88272. OK, weird matrix number time, which Discogs does not list. Yet. UK version yes, says so, but two catalogue numbers as per the Italian and A3 / B2 / C3 / D3 ¹please read on if you are a geek like me.

All my vinyl is sound checked on two systems ... I'm not quite sure how you can Grade a record, or indeed be confident in bidding, relying on visual inspection alone! Carlos Santana is simply the king of Latin Rock Jazz guitar and this shows him off at his very best with some pretty stunning  fellow artists.

Condition? See close up photos which are deliberately zoomed in to show warts and all. As we don't accept returns unless it is damaged in transit or substantially not as described,  I will point out any flaws in the photos or description. We want you to be confident in bidding and happy with what you receive.

Record: quite a few surface marks / hairline scratches visible under bright light, not great on first visual inspection but it plays great. No skips, repetitive crackles or jumps. Yes there is some background noise, but then a lot of this is live so hard to tell what is down to the 45 year old record, or the recording.

Labels: Intact, no tears, bright, clean, almost zero spindle wear.

Inner sleeve: Original, full colour photos, no major creases but some rubbing  as shown.

Outer sleeve: Minor creasing around spine. No inscriptions. Bright, good colour. Spine very good with hardly and bumping and not squished. Fully legible. Some white age rubbing / record show through as shown. Minimal corner bumps. I'm being ULTRA critical folks.

Please judge for yourself as one person's 'good' is another's 'excellent' ... it's subjective... and we err on the side of UNDER exaggeration! We don't describe a record as Near Mint unless WE'VE opened it from sealed and played it once. I use the UK grading guide here https://recordcollectormag.com/advertise/listings-help and am really not getting into quibbles over whether something is VG Plus (a US grading term) or VG, especially with dealers who want to buy it cheap and sell it on for profit. I price low so these great records can go to someone who is a fan and wants to enjoy them.

We're paranoid packers. We use bespoke record boxes, bubble wrap etc and reinforcers too. Basically we pack it to withstand even the most heartless delivery person. See our 100% positive feedback over 20 years of trading.  Some of our packaging, for which we don't charge, is ♻️ recycled and we will NOT accept returns because "outside packaging smelled odd" or was creased (it has happened,  believe me!) These are vintage, pre-loved items which have come down from a loft.
