JON BATISTE is probably best-known as Stephen Colbert’s band leader on The Late Show.  Batiste recorded Hollywood Africans in his hometown of New Orleans with producer T-Bone Burnett .  He describes it as "an homage to his musical heroes and an intimate portrait of the artist."  The Kenner-born musician, bandleader, & TV personality included the New Orleans standard Saint James Infirmary, as well as Smile, The Very Thought Of You, & Louis Armstrong's timeless classic; What A Wonderful World.
