A Japanese original project commemorating the 10th anniversary of the debut! An
original Japanese project product commemorating the 10th anniversary of the release of the debut album "The 1975". The band's frontman Matthew Hilly has selected songs that are important to Japanese fans from their past five albums. Two songs from each album will be recorded on a 7-inch record in the image color of the album jacket (Vinyl 1: Clear, Vinyl 2: Pink, Vinyl 3: White, Vinyl 4: Yellow, Vinyl 5: Blue), and will be included in a BOX set. (5 7-inch records) and released. This is a commemorative product filled with the band's love for their Japanese fans.
They finally became the first headliner at Summer Sonic in 2022, and in October of the same year, they released their fifth album “Being Funny In A Foreign Language.” In April of this year, the band's career peaked and they completed the band's largest-ever Japan tour [THE 1975 AT THEIR VERY BEST JAPAN 2023] with great success, touring four cities: Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, and Osaka. Tickets for all five performances were sold out (some additional seats were sold), making it a large-scale tour that attracted a total of 42,000 people. At the same time, a pop-up shop held in Harajuku, Tokyo was a great success, with long lines forming every day.
