1964 VJ Records - The Beatles - We Wish You A Merry Christmas - "Record Sleeve Only" Very Rare!! Vintage!!
IN EARLY OCTOBER OF 1964, VEE-JAY PREPARED A SPECIAL BEATLES PICTURE SLEEVE FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON. THE SLEEVE WAS CREATED TO ENCOURAGE DISTRIBUTORS TO PLACE LARGE ORDERS OF BEATLES SINGLES PRIOR TO VEE-JAY LOSING ITS RIGHTS TO MANUFACTURE AND DISTRIBUTE BEATLES PRODUCTS. THESE RIGHTS WERE SET TO EXPIRE ON OCTOBER 15, 1964. THUS, THE FACTORIES HAD APPROXIMATELY ONE WEEK TO EITHER PRESS SINGLES TO BE INSERTED INTO THE SLEEVES OR TO RE-SLEEVE EXISTING RECORDS. THIS ATTRACTIVE HOLIDAY SLEEVE IS AMONG THE MORE POPULAR BEATLES PICTURE SLEEVES FOR COLLECTORS.
