Sid Mark launched The Sounds of Sinatra in Philadelphia in the 70’s. It all began as a call from a listener, who suggested that Sid spin one hour of Frank Sinatra.
In 1979, Sid took The Sounds of Sinatra to the national level with affiliates in New York and Los Angeles. Soon the show spread across the country, airing on nearly 100 stations every week. This is the only radio program of its kind to have been personally authorized by Frank Sinatra.
These LPs were originally played on-the-air on radio station KTXR in Missouri They are in very good, but not near mint condition. The label on one side shows remnants of a sticker.
The show is a fascinating look into Sinatra’s music and his recordings and pressings were extremely limited.
