Mondo special New York City Comicon release of John Williams iconic score to 1978's action blockbuster Superman: The Movie. With the tagline "You'll believe a man can fly", the movie was released on Christmas weekend 1978, and caught the imagination of filmgoers the world over. To date, it has achieved ticket sales of $300.5 million. The oscar-nominsated score was composed and conducted by the legendary John Williams (Jaws, Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, all 9 Star Wars movies, Indiana Jones movies, ET, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List, and many, many more), and the main theme is instantly recognisable to millions of fans. Now, nearly 43 years later, the superhero film industry shows no signs of slowing, but very few have achieved the visual and sonic miracle that the late Richard Donner and the inimitable John Williams were able to do with their epic origin story.

This new release of the soundtrack is presented on 2 x NYCC exclusive red/yellow/blue striped vinyl. It is packaged in a quadfold "clamshell" case featuring artwork by Joe Quinones and Paolo Rivera, and extensive liner notes by Michael Matessino and original art by DKNG. Also included is a graphic novel, Superman '78, which continues where the movie left off. It is limited to just 500 (SOLD OUT!) copies.

Shipping

This record will be shipped in its corporate carton. This will have identifying features of the contents inside. If you would prefer a carton with no identifying features, please message me before buying, as there may be an increase in the shipping costs.

UK Customers

All shipping is at UK Royal Mail rates. Larger items, such as boxsets, may be shipped using Parcelforce (or other courier service) due to Royal Mail weight restrictions. All shipping prices include insurance for the full value of the item. Multi-purchase discounts available.

Global Shipping Program Customers

Global Shipping Program customers will be required to pay ebay's GSP postage costs at the time of ordering. If the order ships after the 90 day GSP postage window, you will be refunded these charges. However you will need to arrange direct shipping. In the majority of cases, this will be considerably lower than ebay's charges.
