This rare 45 single by (The) Evil is a must-have for any garage rock or psych fuzz collector.
Released in 1966 on the Living Legend label in Miami FL, this is a first edition release before the band signed with Capital and after several personnel changes split in 1967.
Original lineup appears to be Stan Kinchen on lead, Al Banyai rhythm, John Doyle lead vocal Larry O’Connell bass and Doug Romanella drums. Later members included John Dalton rhythm Mike Hughes bass and Jeff Allen on drums
March 1966 the Evil won the WFUN Radio Dade Co Youth Fair Battle of the Bands for which they received a recording session at Dukoff Studios and did a number of songs—some were later re-recorded at Criteria Studios for Capitol release.
Tested on 2 turntables -Some surface noise due to age blemishes but did not skip on my equipment. Results on your equipment may vary. I rate this a VG to VG+ copy but am no expert my feedback in this area is good…)
