Blues Magoos - "Electric Comic Book"    This is the album by Blues Magoos titled "Electric Comic Book" released by Mercury Records April 1967. In mono. #MG-21104. Length: 29:58, 11 songs. This record has been played very little. I worked in the entertainment business here in Hollywood and got a lot of records for free. Sometimes duplicates. It's in very good condition. The jacket and sleeve inside are in very good condition. I've included a picture of the band printed on an 8½"x11" sheet of paper. Not glossy. Several people have uploaded the album to youtube if you want to give them a listen before purchasing. Do a search there for "blues magoos electric comic book full album" and you'll find them. Or click here if ebay doesn't remove the link:
ALBUM COVER

ABOUT THE MUSICIANS    The Blues Magoos are an American rock group from The Bronx, a borough of New York City. They were at the forefront of the psychedelic music trend, beginning in 1966. In late 1966, Mercury Records signed the band to a record deal. The group's debut album, "Psychedelic Lollipop", was released shortly thereafter – becoming one of the first albums to include the word "psychedelic" on the sleeve. The group's most successful song was "(We Ain't Got) Nothin' Yet", their only single to reach the Billboard top fifty. The next single was "There's A Chance We Can Make It" from "Electric Comic Book". In May 1968, the band released their third album, "Basic Blues Magoos". Shortly afterwards, in mid-late 1968, the band split up after disagreements on the musical direction of the band and financial problems. ©Wikipedia

ABOUT THE ALBUM    "Electric Comic Book" was their second album, the follow-up to their successful debut release "Psychedelic Lollipop". The psychedelic garage rock style is followed again on this release but without a high-charting single. A couple of tracks, "Intermission" and "That's All Folks" (a very brief, hard-rocking parody of the Looney Tunes end theme) showcase the band's bizarre sense of humor. One single was released from "Electric Comic Book", "Pipe Dream" b/w "There's a Chance We Can Make It". However, "Summer is the Man" and "Life is Just a Cher O'Bowlies" were released as B-sides of two singles from their next album, "Basic Blues Magoos". ©Wikipedia
