ONCE MOOR / Magic Carpet II by Magic Carpet

This auction is for a copy of the rare acid-folk reunion album from the legendary seventies group Magic Carpet  - M/M unplayed. This is Magic Carpet's second album issued in 1996 by the official UK Magic Carpet Records label.

The album is on heavy-weight top quality vinyl pressed in the UK by E.M.I. Once Moor / Magic Carpet II is the follow-up album to the original psych prog acid folk Magic Carpet LP, released in early 1972 on the UK Mushroom label, both highly collectable.

"Based around the classically trained sitar virtuoso Clem Alford and the breathtaking ethereal vocalist Alisha Sufit, Magic Carpet delivered perhaps one of the finest Indian-influenced psychedelic folk albums of the 1970" Featuring two original members, Alisha Sufit and Clem Alford, with a fine contribution from Pandit Dinesh on tabla, the re-formed Magic Carpet band recorded Once Moor in 1996, the LP issued in December of that year, shortly after the CD version was released. (Please see our other auction for the CD). It consists of ten tunes. Side One:- Bean To Sea (intro), Thanks Be, All the Sins Of Man, Let It Go, Feast Your Eyes. Side Two:- Understand, The Little Seed, See The Man, Once Moor, Bean To Sea (outro).

Phil McMullen of Ptolemaic Terrascope writes: ?Gorgeous melody, bittersweet lyrics.? This album is a must for collectors of Magic Carpet related releases. Feel free to ask questions and please email us for a correct postal cost according to destination.
