Grading Information

Please see the explanation below to understand how we assess the quality of the vinyl LP albums you intend to buy.

We use a combination of the industry standard Goldmine Grading Scale as well as a 1�10 scale to ensure a clear and accurate account of each album condition.

Cover/Sleeve Grading applies to the outer sleeve only. If the original inner sleeve is included, it will be shown in the photos. Please ask any additional questions regarding inner sleeve or album condition before purchase!

The scale is as follows:

10: MINT (M)- Pristine, looks as if it just came off the manufacturing line. Also listed as New, Mint, Sealed/Unopened.

9: NEAR MINT (NM) - Looks as if it just came from a store and was opened for the first time. May be played a few times if ever, with no evidence of wear whatsoever.

8: EXCELLENT (EX) - LP may have a faint surface mark or two barring it from being truly Near Mint, but sound quality is not affected. Cover sleeve just short of Near Mint, often used for covers in shrink or with no visible flaws. Seams and spine fully intact.

7: VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) - Shows slight signs of wear. Light scuffs or scratches may be present but do not affect playback except for faint surface noise in between tracks or the occasional soft click. Minor ringwear possible; seams and spine intact but not pristine.

6: VERY GOOD / VERY GOOD PLUS (VG/VG+) - More obvious signs of handling. LP has surface noise in spots but remains playable. Some clicks and pops, but no skips. Cover shows ringwear or marks; seams may have minor splits or wear. Writing may be present on label.

5: VERY GOOD (VG) - Significant and obvious wear. Surface noise throughout and audible scratches, but no skips. Cover may have heavy ringwear or stains; seams may be split. Writing or stickers may be present on labels or sleeves.

4: VERY GOOD MINUS (VG-) - Typically only seen on rare covers in poor condition with heavy wear or splitting, still worth owning for rarity. We generally do not offer records graded 4 for vinyl itself.
