* Rare and remarkable African folk highlife LP (with notable Brazilian influence) on the prestigious Ngoma label -- Verdes Campos translates to Green Fields in Portuguese, the official language of Mozambique -- This band was formed in the port province of Quelimane, primarily by migrant workers (and one student) as an act of solidarity on International Labour Day, May 1st 1980 -- A great, complex front to back album, and fairly impossible to find .. no reserve!! .. LISTEN!!
