Up for grabs to the highest bidder, the highly sought after Black Sabbath LP with the Philips credit.  UK 1st Vertigo Swirl version.

Contains the text "A Philips Record Product" on the label, matrixes are 1Y*1 and 2Y*1 and has the text "Copyright subsists in all stereo recordings" within the cross.  This is THE 1st UK press!!

Comes with the original sleeve VG+ with minor wear to top right corner and the original swirl inner sleeve VG+.  Unfortunately, the  vinyl condition is not so good and I would rate this good overall, with some areas playing VG and some areas which have clicks which could not be considered good in the literal sense so I would say 'fair', but like I say, some areas play VG so overall 'good'.  More details below.  Please note that within this description, where I mentioned that the record 'clears', this does not mean 100% clear, but clearer.

Vertigo side

Track 1 - starts off crackly. After the vocal “..chosen one” it clears for the guitar break but then becomes more crackly during the next quiet vocal area and regular clicks are audible for the rest of the track.

Track- 2 – Starts off with some crackles and clicks during guitar intro, noise clears when Ozzy starts to sing, then comes back in when he stops. Again, it strangely seems to clear on the next chorus when he sings and then clears but still odd click during next break with harmonica. Some crackles when he starts to sing again, when it breaks into instrumental I would say that the crackles do not spoil enjoy music but are audible.

Track 3 – starts ok but clicks. After the vocal “frosty xxx” it clears a bit and during the vocal “spirit xxx breeze”? And during the guitar break and then a second higher elevated guitar break it is fairly clear. Some slicks as Ozzy starts to sing again and into exit

Track 4 – Quiet intro is clicky, becomes more like good once guitar breaks in but after 30 secs or so a repetitive click for about 15-20 spins then plays like VG for a minute or so until he repeats the lyric “Im going to feel” when It clicks for 30 secs or so then clears for another 30 secs during guitar breakdown (and what a breakdown!!)

Other side with text:

track 1: Crackly until the vocal: “now I know just what your games are for” then clears to G+ until the end of the track

track 2 : Because of the quiet intro , starts with crackles . When guitar comes in sounds like VG with odd click, bass guitar comes in and picks up pace, still G+/low VG, odd click, then slows down into guiatr break, still low VG/G+ but as track quietens for a few seconds, crackles more apprent more like G as vocal “feelings were a little bit strong” kicks in. run up to vocal “sorrow xx my voice “ is like voice is like VG but then more like G+ during start of drum rolls. As the track pretends to die away play is like G+/low VGThen as the track kicks off again play is like VG, after a min or so some clicks so more like G+ for 10 secs then as quitar solo becomes stereo play is clearer like VG/G+. As guitar solo slopes off crackles so more like g/fair for 20 second but then when drums comes in more like G.

This is more of a collectors item due it's rarity and being highly sought after.  There is no reserve.

I will also throw in a white label which I have which I am sure is also Black Sabbath, matrix number is ARMEN T 001 - I will throw this in free as it will also help stiffen up the parcel.
