SOUNDTRACK FROM HIS 2ND FILM ISSUED JULY 1957.

THIS 10 INCH ALBUM HARDLY EVER TURNS UP AND WHEN IT DOES IT IS USUALLY IN POOR CONDITION.

THIS 57 YEARS OLD LP IS INCREDIBLE !

IT IS AN EARLIEST POSSIBLE 1ST PRESSING FROM JULY 1957 WITH THE TWO THICK SILVER LINES ACROSS THE LABEL.

LATER COPIES DO NOT HAVE THESE.

THE SLEEVE HAS THE DATE STAMP "JU57/9" CONFIRMING IT IS THE EARLIEST FIRST ISSUE IN JULY 1957.

ALSO THE THICK HEAVY VINYL HAS THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE 1B/1B MATRIX CODES.

PRESSED IN 1957 WITH THE TAX CODE "M" EMBOSSED ON THE SIDE 2 LABEL.

VINYL

EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH JUST A FEW LIGHT SURFACE MARKS WHICH DO NOT INTERFERE WITH PLAY.
IT STILL HAS A LOVELY SHEEN AND BRIGHTNESS AND PLAYS WITH NO CLICKS, STICKS OR JUMPS.

Side 1 has 4 light marks which do not affect play and a few very light paper and handling marks.
It has a few spindle marks - more than on Side 2 indicating that Side 1 got the most play.

Side 2 has 2 light marks on Band (Track) 4 which do not affect play and a few very light paper and handling marks.

This 57-year old record clearly has not been played much at all.
It plays fine with some light crackle on the few quieter bits.

LABELS

THE JULY 1957 LABELS WITH THE FIRST EARLY PRESS SILVER LINES ARE IN FANTASTIC CONDITION.
THEY GRADE AS AT LEAST EXCELLENT - PROBABLY BETTER.
WITH THE TAX CODE "M" EMBOSSED ON SIDE 2.

SLEEVE

THE SLEEVE IS FULLY LAMINATED BOTH SIDES.
THE FRONT COVER AND HALF-MOON FLIPBACK ARE STILL HIGHLY GLOSSY AND VERY CLEAN WITH MINIMAL TINY CREASING AND VERY LITTLE CORNER WEAR.
TOP EDGE HAS NO WEAR AT ALL AND SPINE IS GREAT WITH JUST A FEW 'DOTS' WHERE CREASING HAS AFFECTED THE LAMINATE.
A 12 CM TEAR HAS BEEN REPAIRED AT SOME POINT WITH SKILL AND EXPERTISE. THIS IS VISIBLE ON THE LOWER FRONT FRPOM THE OPENING TO ELVIS'S RED COLLAR.
THE OPENING HAS A LITTLE WEAR AND CREASING BUT IS STILL VERY FIRM WITH NO FEATHERING.
NO WRITING, NO FADING, NO STAINING, NO YELLOWING, NO SPOTTING AND NO OPEN TEARS OR RIPS.
A FANTASTIC SLEEVE !

INNER SLEEVE

THE ORIGINAL 1957 RCA POLY-LINED INNER SLEEVE INCLUDED IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO WEAR TEARS OR RIPS
THIS HAS THE MESSAGE "BRITISH AND FOREIGN PATENTS PENDING" INDICATING ONE OF THE FIRST EVER PRINTED FOR THIS 10-INCH LP.

THIS IS ABOUT THE BEST COPY I HAVE SEEN IN YEARS.
