For sale; 7" vinyl version of the Stone Roses' first single 'So Young' b/w 'Tell Me'. The original 1985 (12") pressing of 1200 copies was apparently only sold in the Manchester area. Once the Roses had achieved their God-like status/brief moment in the sun (you choose!) in the late '80s, this 7" version miraculously appeared in smaller record shops around the country. John-squire.com refers to it as 'unauthorised', and who am I to argue? I gather it may be a Japanese facsimile of the original, still featuring the Cat. No. THIN 001 on sleeve and label. That's as much as I know for sure; I'm certainly not out to deceive anyone.....

This copy came from Loughborough's Left-Legged Pineapple record shop in 1990-ish. (I spent far too much time there when I was supposed to be studying for my boring degree. To be fair, I'm now making more money from the records I bought there than I am from Aeronautical Engineering...). The single has probably been played no more than half a dozen times since then. The vinyl is in excellent condition, plays fine, and is virtually unmarked. The sleeve has light handling wear from two decades' storage in my singles box, but nothing I'd count as damage. If you want a vinyl copy of this single, the 7" version may be your best bet, unless you fancy parting with the thick end of a hundred quid for the original 12"............you pays your money, you makes your choice!

UK bids only, please. Single will be posted 1st Class Signed For (insured up to £50!) on receipt of payment via PayPal. Thanks for looking!
