Columbia 109A Portable Wind Up 78 RPM Record player, Viva-tonal Grafonola
The player is in good working order and will play a 12" 78 all the way through without faltering, or any variation in speed. The condition is exactly what you would expect for the age, and typical of something dating from that era, but having said that not too bad at all. I have greased the motor, and checked the soundbox and everything should stay working fine for some time.
There was some woodworm on the bottom of the base, and two holes in the top, all of which have been treated twice with Cuprinol WW killer. Its as dead as dead gets ! It can be noticed if you look underneath, but otherwise you are not likely to spot it. Good value for the starting price, and the treated woodworm shouldn't deter you at all, but I feel obliged to mention it.
