DETAILS
This a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition and with these changed matrix numbers) by Jeff Beck called "Truth".
IT is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Pressing Blue/Black Columbia label.
THIS MONO LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND.
THIS WAS JEFF BECK'S DEBUT LP - AND MONO COPIES RARELY TURN UP FOR SALE.
NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS MONO COPY HAS THE EARLIEST EVER CROSSED OUT MATRIX NUMBERS - SEE PICTURES.
THE VERY FIRST PRESSINGS WERE MISTAKENLY PRESSED WITH THE WRONG MATRIX NUMBERS WHICH WERE THEN CROSSED OUT AND RE-STAMPED WITH THE CORRECT NUMBERS.
MATRIX NUMBERS:-
Side 1 :- 1 M XAX 3606-1 (CROSSED OUT) replaced with XAX 3706-1
Side 2 :- 1 R XAX 3706-1 (CROSSED OUT) replaced with 3707
THIS LP WAS RELEASED IN 1968, ONLY SOLD IN SMALL AMOUNTS AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED.
NOT ONLY THAT, BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION - AND CLEARLY HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL.
THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1968 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS BLUE/BLACK COLUMBIA LABEL, WITH 1ST PRESS 'SOLD IN THE UK' LABEL TEXT, 1ST PRESS 1/1 MATRIX ENDINGS, 1ST PRESS 'PATENTS APPLIED FOR' ADVERTISING INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' FLIPBACK LAMINATED 'PATENTS PENDING' SLEEVE.
The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.
Cat.No is SX 6293 on the ORIGINAL MONO 1st Press Columbia Label and is much MUCH rarer than the UK Stereo 1st Pressing.
The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few VERY light spindle marks.
IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS NOT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL.
The vinyl is in GREAT condition STRICTLY GRADED EXCELLENT WITH A FEW LIGHT LINES AND SCUFFS.
THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS SUPERB.
The record plays SUPERBLY WELL with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL and only some EXTREMELY low level background sound on the run-out grooves and gaps.
The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Patents Applied For' Advertising inner sleeve which is in NEAR MINT condition.
The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Garrod & Lofthouse' Flipback Laminated 'Patents Pending' Sleeve is in GREAT condition
The sleeve has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only tiny corner wear, NO splits, beautiful glossy laminate, NO rips, NO tears and NO writing.
The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering AT ALL.
Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, and NO writing.
It does however have an authentic stamp from the 1968 Record Shop in Reading England where it was purchased !
Checkout this link !

The only defect is some light creasing at the opening and on the spine, and a couple of light marks on the rear.
The pinched spine is superb.
Sleeve STRICTLY GRADED EXCELLENT PLUS
DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY !
SO HARD TO FIND NOW IN ANY CONDITION.
