After being an avid music collector for over thirty years, I've decided to downscale somewhat. So in the coming months I'll be listing an abundance of records, cd's, tour programmes, genuine autographed items, tour t-shirts, magazines and other memorabilia from my own personal collection.

 

SLAUGHTER - STICK IT TO YA - Vinyl LP

Chrysalis / CHR 1702 (A1/B1 Matrix) / 1990 / UK

Released in 1990, this is the debut album from Las Vegas rockers Slaughter. Really nice original UK pressing which is long-since out of print, and adding to it rarity value - this copy has been fully autographed by all 4 members of the band (Mark Slaughter, Dana Strum, Tim Kelly & Blas Elias). I myself got this personally signed backstage before their show at the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool on the 9 January 1991 where they were opening for Cinderella on their Heartbreak Station tour.

Condition

*Another record from my own personal collection which has only been played once. I would always record my new vinyl purchases directly to cassette to preserve their condition. Therefore, the grading of these vinyls has been done visually, to keep them in as-new condition as possible.

Vinyl : NM   As stated, it's only been played once and still looks in fantastic, as-new condition. The labels are excellent also with no marks or spindle wear whatsoever.

Sleeve : NM-   The autographed sleeve is in fantastic condition.

 

Record Collector Grading System

Mint (M):  Record shows no evidence of having been played. Vinyl/sleeve in perfect, brand new condition. No secondhand records can make this grade.

Near Mint (NM):  Record shows little sign of having been played. Vinyl/sleeve is in superb condition.  My highest grade for secondhand vinyl.

Excellent (EX):  Record has been played a few times but has been well looked after. Vinyl has the odd light surface mark but there is no significant lessening of sound quality. Sleeve may have some slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG):  Record has been played a number of times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite some visible marks / mild scratches. Any surface noise is occasional, light and unobtrusive. Sleeve will have some normal wear and tear without any major defects.

Good (G):  While the record still plays OK, the vinyl will have a lot of surface marks/ light scratches and there is regular and noticeable surface noise. Sleeve and contents will suffer from folding, scuffing and/ or edge splits, discoloration etc.

Fair (F):  Vinyl will have scratches and jump etc. Records in this condition will be collection-fillers only. The sleeve has major tears, staining etc.

 

*All records are packed in professional mailers with stiffeners & will be removed from their sleeves to prevent seam-splits in transit.
*All items are mailed using Royal Mail - I will always do my best to mail items the day after payment is received.
