Excellent copy of the famous King Crimson album by Robert Fripp featuring Jon Anderson
Original UK 1970 1st pressing on Pink Rim Island A – 2U / B – 2U
Some surface marks that do not affect outstanding sound quality. I remember I compared this exact record to the original US Atlantic pressing and it was not even close. The sound is full, spacious, punchy but subtle. Washed with Disc Doctor cleaning solution.
E.J. Day original laminated jacket looks practically new. The record is in a rice paper inner sleeve but I included a UK Home Taping is Killing Music paper sleeve as well.
VG++ / NM
All records are shipped in cardboard record mailers with vinyl outside of jackets to prevent split seams. Shipping is via Media Mail unless Priority is requested. International shipping quoted at cost. Handling fee is the cost of the record mailer.
Grading categories are as follows (record / jacket):
Mint – never played or sealed. Indistinguishable from new.
NM – played a handful of times, possibly one or two spindle marks, no or one-two superficial surface marks that do not sound, no or very little surface noise (as you would get on a new pressing sometimes). Jacket may have a little corner ding but otherwise looks new a shiny.
VG++ - a small number of spindle marks or occasional surface noise reflects the age of the record or that it was carefully played more than a handful of times. The grooves are still pretty much fresh, the record is shiny except for a few marks / scratches that do not affect play or sound well below the level of music. Jacket may have a couple of scuffs, a crease, or a little of ringwear.
VG+ (I really may have very few if any of those)- below VG++. Surface noise noticeable at times. Some ticks and pops. Jacket may have a split seam, somewhat worn corner, a crease, etc. This sort of condition may make sense for valuable vintage pressed records.
Many of the records I have are hand-washed with the Disc Doctor system (as noted). All are in high quality outer sleeves, and most have VRP rice paper or other high quality lined inner sleeves. Exceptions are noted.
