I have a USA First press of
Led Zeppelin-Led Zeppelin 4
Atlantic SD7208
matrix side 1:ST-A-712285-C Porky (all hand etched)
matrix Side 2:ST-A-712286-C Pecko Duck (All hand etched)
Cover Condition EX-
light wear on edges and spline, a few other light marks here and there on the front and back, some light ring wear, no edge/seam splits, the spine is strong and fully readable, no sellotape or writing, a very Good solid cover in really great condition
please note that this is the heavy white card 1st press cover exactly the same as the UK 1st press version; after these covers ran out they reverted to a lighter weight cover for all editions (please see Photos)
Inner Sleeve Condition EX-
1st press heavy white card inner sleeve in in really great condition with no creasing or edge/seam splits just a few light marks and fingerprints here and there
this kind off inner sleeve was only available on the first press editions, on subsequent pressings they used a lighter brownish paper inner sleeve about half the weight of this inner sleeve
Record Condition Both Sides VG
the heavy weight vinyl has light marks and scuffs on both sides but no scratches so i have conservatively
Label condition Both sides VG
the labels on both sides are clean and tidy
However there is a slight pressing fault where Im assuming a record packer picked up the newly pressed record whilst the ink on one side of the label was still wet so there is an inky fingerprint and a bit of smudging on the label (Please see the photographs)
Record Plays through EX or Better
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All records are graded using the record collector grading system however i use + and - as an in between grading and i also grade each part of the record separately
Mt- = Near Mint: In brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover and contents nearly perfect.
Ex = Excellent: Shows some signs of being played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VG+ = Better than Very Good: Obviously been played but no significant deterioration in sound quality despite light surface marks. Very little wear and tear on cover and contents, without any major defects.
This record is from my personal collection as are all the other records I am selling at present so have been well looked after stored upright in plastic outer sleeves and anti static inner sleeves in a smoke free home
Record will be well packed for Transit
Thank you for Looking
