Angel Olsen released this as her first full length solo offering. After collaborating and singing with Bonnie “Prince” Billy on the road and on record, Half Way Home was a necessary move for Olsen to show a depth and emotion that is entirely hers. This is a record that flew under the radar of many, but with the success of Burn Your Fire For No Witness, many have discovered this debut and the amazingly beautiful and sometime melancholy songs. Pitchfork gave this a well-earned rating of 8.0. We cannot keep this record in due to the word of mouth and the interests in Angel.
