Joan Jett and the Blackhearts' monstrous hit title track is the #27 song of all time. The single, "I Love Rock n' Roll," stayed at #1 on Billboard charts for 8 weeks in 1982, leading the way to becoming an international hit that is still played all over the world. Other gems on this album are the beloved "Crimson and Clover" (which was a Top 5 smash on Billboard's Top 100 chart), "Victim of Circumstance," and the Christmas classic "Little Drummer Boy.”

The 2LP collection is the first definitive Greatest Hits collection from Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. It features 8 songs featured in the film, The Runaways, including one previously unreleased track, featured in the film. The set also includes re-recorded material featuring several Runaways favorites.
UNVARNISHED
Unvarnished, which Jett has called “a real band album,” features several collaborations from Jett and the Blackhearts, in particular, guitarist Dougie Needles and drummer Thommy Price, and of course, Jett’s long time songwriting partner and producer, Kenny Laguna. Jett also went outside the home team for a couple of stellar collaborators. “Soulmates To Strangers” was written with Against Me! singer Laura Jane Grace, with whom Jett first became acquainted while on the 2006 Warped Tour. Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters co-wrote the single “Any Weather.” Amazingly, the single features just the two musicians performing the song, with Jett on vocals and rhythm guitar, and Dave playing every other instrument that is on the track.
