In 1983, “Never Say Never Again” got only a very limited LP release, in Japan. One wonders why? And, for many years this record remained the only chance to hear Michel Legrand’s impressive score apart from the movie it had been composed for.

This record album is a true collector’s item. Highly sought after and a must have for any real fan of Bond music. Even more so as it features some music officially unavailable on CD! How come? Herb Alpert’s sexy trumpet solo (ie. the pool track) at the beginning of the theme song on side two can not be found on the commonly available Silva Screen CD

“Rare Japan-only release, pressed in unknown quantities. Due to the ‘unofficial’ nature of the film, this soundtrack was never released on United Artist Records; home of the majority of James Bond soundtracks up until 1985.
Comes with high quality paper insert listing track titles in English and Japanese text.
Both the outer sleeve and the insert contain several spelling errors; including names in track titles and in the lyrics for the songs.
Track length for A8 is missing from the rear cover but is printed on the paper insert.
Also contains a colour inner sleeve printed with the United Artists Records name and logo.
Although Michel Legrand is credited with writing the tracks, no artist is mentioned on the outer sleeve. The front cover simply states "Sean Connery is 007 in Never Say Never Again."
