This LP was acquired, new, some number of years ago by the present owner. (Probably in the 50's). It remains in lovely condition, however, the rear cover of the sleeve was 'cut open' and bears two signatures on the inside: Chris Barber and Ken Colyer plus on the rear cover Doug Richford of The River City Jazzmen wrote, in pencil, his telephone number - For 0740 (!!) - how long ago was that?
Now then, Cambridge University were the winners (Oxford were runners-up and Leeds Uni taking third place). All in all it's an interesting LP and to my knowledge probably quite rare. The contest was held at Leeds University and from all accounts the place was stuffed to the eaves.
