White Light/White Heat is the second studio album by American rock band the Velvet Underground, originally released in 1968 by record label Verve. It was the band's last studio recording of new material with bassist and founding member John Cale. In 2003, the album was ranked number 293 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
