Mega rare 1983 vinyl LP compilation release by The McKean Sisters, released on Slim Dusty/Joy McKean’s recording label Nulla Records, and issued on EMI Australia’s Axis label.  The McKean Sisters (Joy McKean and Heather McKean) and their status in Australian country music, or indeed the Australian music industry as a whole, is legendary, as both artists in their own right and later as spouses to two famous country music artists (Joy married Slim Dusty, Heather married Reg Lindsay).  Prior to their respective marriages, The McKean Sisters recorded these songs in Sydney in 1949, 1950 and 1951 (before the group disbanded) and here for the first time ever, all 18 songs (mono recordings) recorded by the group are included on the same vinyl LP album release.  Additionally, there are detailed liner notes on the jacket rear cover, including references to the source of some of the old recordings.  Also includes a double sided Axis catalogue flyer page insert.  Housed in original jacket in VG+ condition – light shelf wear, small mark to jacket front cover top RH corner and light scratch across top front jacket.  Vinyl LP is in excellent condition - couple of light scuffs (AX.1160)
