Sandy Denny – Who Knows Where the Time Goes
Sadly, Sandy Denny is best known as “the girl who sings on “The Battle of Evermore”… A prolific and exquisite singer / songwriter in her own right, her haunting, elegant and expressive musical tapestries are a treasure, the likes of which may never be seen again…
4 record set – VG+ (maybe even an added “+” J) box is VERY worn & booklet has writing over the discography page. The discs themselves were very carefully handled – this is a much-loved collection from a beautiful and under-appreciated artist…
*******************************************************************
I photograph my vinyl listings with plenty of bright – almost harsh -- lighting to fully illuminate the surface of the record. I clean & inspect every side of every disc -- I want you to see all surface scuffs, after I’ve determined that that is all they are… typical handling wear that does not detract from the overall enjoyment of the album. If a disc has actual indentation scratches or is pock marked, I don’t even list it. Every side is photographed, and I flip / tilt the cover to differentiate multiple disc shots.
These discs would get better than a VG+ rating by a “pro” vinyl dealer…I’ll stop short of saying they’re “excellent”, but they’re close...
VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+), Shows slight signs of wear, light scuffs or scratches may be present but they do not affect playback other than faint surface noise heard sporadically in between tracks, or the occasional soft click from a surface mark here or there, cover sleeve is considered still “frameable” yet when observed closely will show to have a flaw or small flaws, very minor ringwear if any, seams and spine intact but not pristine (again, box is pretty beat up)
I’m breaking up a fairly extensive record collection, full of mostly classic artists that everyone knows the details on…look for a few rarities here and there…I’m not looking for “big scores” on anything, and I’d like to do this with the buyer completely satisfied and a minimum of hassle on my end.
If you purchase something from me and feel that it has not been accurately represented / doesn’t align with your expectations (used vinyl almost always has inherent surface noise), let me know and I will take care of it to your satisfaction…As I’ve always said in this forum - and my feedback will support this - I am at all times reasonable with individuals who are also reasonable.
So buy with confidence… (but don't take advantage of my benevolence...)
I will not knowingly sell any albums with deep gouges or ridiculous skips in them – all markings are highlighted minor surface blemishes… again, my pictures are designed to shine a spotlight on all of the typical surface scuffs an album would acquire when handled & played – few listings will be anywhere near mint, but they will all be clean, highly enjoyable, reasonably priced and within the tolerances of the used vinyl world.
NOTE: I photograph and display special inserts & booklets, but I don’t get too caught up in record jackets (covers, yes – jackets, no)…if there is a specific jacket that comes with an album, and a generic jacket is not acceptable, ask before you bid or buy.
