TOMORROW - self titled

Rare and highly sought after 1968 UK very 1st pressing of this psychedelic rock classic on the EMI/Parlophone label, MONO PMC 7042,

featuring Keith West (aka Keith Hopkins) and Steve Howe (later of Yes fame)

 Matrix Numbers :

Side 1 XEX 667 - 1 with stampers "1" and "G"on the dead wax area at 9am and 3am respectively   Side 2   XEX 668 - 1 with stampers "1" and "G"on the dead wax area at 9am and 3am respectively

The appearance of the vinyl is GOOD+. Each side of the vinyl has retained much of it's original sheen but equally there are a good number of scuffs and mild surface scratches, a number of which are clearly visible in normal daylight. And under a bright light when held at the right angle it is clear that this record has had a good number of plays but thankfully there are no deep and obviously below the surface scratches. On side 2 there is a very small indentation, however, which is below the surface and results in 7 mild clicks.

Each label is excellent. All writing remains perfectly defined, as does the surface texturing and colouring. The "K" and "T" tax codes on side 2 are prominent and clearly visible. There are a number of very faint spindle traces adjacent to the centre hole on each side.

The iconic Garrod & Lofthouse laminated outer sleeve is vg-. The top and bottom edges remain well defined with no rubbing but there are a number of creases on the spine, along with some laminate creases towards the top and bottom edges. There is mild rubbing on each of the corners. On the reverse side the flip backs are in very good condition and remain fully functional but there is some age discolouration along with a little rubbing adjacent to the bottom flip back. The reverse side has a hint of "grubbiness" about it, but there is no unwanted writing or tears or splits.

Finally, the quality of the audio is an overall very good. There is some mild crackle throughout, but during the songs this becomes mostly insignificant and is only really noticeable at the beginning and end of each side and during the track interludes. On track 1 side 1 there are 3 mild clicks at the beginning, on track 2 side 1 I noticed three clicks, and (as already mentioned above) on track 1 side 2 there are 11 mid clicks. There are no skips. And I have to say that considering the number of scuffs and surface hairlines I didn't expect the overall audio quality to be this good...not perfect by any means but good tone and clarity throughout with each track making for a good listen.

The tracks are :

Side 1 :

1. MY WHITE BICYCLE

2. COLONEL BROW

3. REAL LIFE PERMANENT DREAM

4. SHY BOY

5. REOLUTION

Side 2 :

1. THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY OF TIMOTHY CHASE

2. AUNTIE MARY'S DRESS SHOP

3. STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER

4. THREE JOLLY LITTLE DWARFS

5. NOW YOUR TIME HAS COME

6. HALLUCINATIONS

Comes in the original poly-lined inner which has no tears or splits and remains fully functional.

In summary, a UK pop/beat late 60's classic - highly sought after - which does have it's faults but still presentable and still eminently playable with each track a great listen.

If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige.

If this record interests you then take a look at my other listings for more 50's, 60's and 70's classic vinyl.

bit about myself : I have been collecting vinyl for more than 45 years and have amassed a huge collection covering a varied genre, but mostly of 1960's and 70's origin. Most of my records were originally bought by myself for my own collection, but over the years I have embellished my collection by buying records from a variety of sources : friends/acquaintances, car boots, auctions, and even through putting up a "vinyl wanted" notice in my wife's shop! I never intended selling any of my records but now I am retired and a combination of space requirements (caused partly by duplication) and a need to help fund my retirement has prompted me to "rationalise" my record collection and sell many of my much loved gems.

My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I'll sort out the problem. I offer a "no quibble" refund policy

On the subject of postage, I take great care in the packaging of all items, using a proper vinyl cardboard mailer along with at least two cardboard stiffeners. I take great care in removing the record from the outer sleeve in order to prevent sleeve damage in transit and I always insert the vinyl, outer sleeve and inner into a clear plastic sleeve, thus adding further protection.

For this item postage & packaging will be Royal Mail 1st class signed for  : UK £5.00, continental Europe £8, and Rest of the World £12.

I do discount post & packaging costs for multiple purchases. I do NOT profit from postage.

Good luck with your bidding! Richard
