Vinyl Records grading

Our grading system for vinyl records follows the Record Collector (UK) standard, vinyl first, cover and inserts second, e.g. ex/m
for double albums you will find three figures in this order: first record / second record / cover, e.g. ex/ex/m
triple vinyl etc. correspondingly

SEALED  –  The record is still factory sealed (shrinkwrapped) and has never been opened

UNPLAYED or NEW is pretty much the same category  –  this record is brand new and has never seen a turntable

MINT (M) –  The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition

NEAR MINT  (NM) –  The vinyl/sleeve are virtually unblemished. It looks & plays like new though the record is used.

EXCELLENT (EX)  –  The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing

VERY GOOD  (VG) –  The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) –  The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

   All items will be sent within 2 working days after payment has been received.

·         Vinyl records are posted in professional sturdy Record Mailers with    additional stiffeners inserted. Vinyl removed from outer sleeves to prevent sleeve split.

·         If you win multiple items, Please do not make a payment before you receive the FINAL invoice.

·         All payment to be received within 3 days unless mutually agreed.

If payment doesn’t reach our account within 3 days, we will be free to cancel the purchase.

ALL ORDERS OVER £20 IN VALUE WILL NEED TO BE SENT AS REGISTERED (SIGNED FOR) POST. AS TOO MANY ITEMS ARE GOING MISSING IN THE POST

Additional £5.50 applies to the regular postal charges for Registered/Signed for deliveries

·         I recommend INSURANCE and will quote on individual parcels upon request. Any damage or loss is the buyer's responsibility if insurance is not taken. Proof of postage will be obtained for every sent item. We can't be held responsible for non-insured items lost in the post, but we will happily forward proof of postage should you need to make a claim. If you prefer a cheaper option like Royal Mail Airmail (Small Packet) then We can't be held responsible for any lost or damage items. Again, any damage or loss is the buyer's responsibility if insurance is not taken.

·         All overseas orders over £20.00 in value I will only send via Registered (Royal Mail International Signed For Airmail Packets) to ensure your valuable item arrives safe and secure!

·         Attention!!!   South America!  Many packages that I have sent to Mexico & Ecuador seem to go missing so I will send parcels only by Registered (Royal Mail International Signed For Airmail Packets) post.
