Here I have for sale the 3rd album by the The Velvet Underground, their self-titled from 1969, The Velvet Underground. This is a first pressing from 1969 on the MGM label. I believe this pressing contains Lou Reed's Closet mix. Kinda rare and definitely sought after rock album. The copy I am selling is overall a decent Very Good. It is from my personal collection. I will provide more details below.

Cover/Sleeve condition: I would say the cover is a Good+ to VG tops. As you can see from the pictures it has quite a bit of ringwear both in the front and the back. There is some splitting in the middle of the bottom seam, the rest is still together. There is no writing or tape anywhere I can see. Please take a look at the pictures. Overall the cover has seen better days but has maintained itself together over the years.

Record Condition: I would say the record looks like a VG- or Good+ however it sounds like a solid VG. The Record has some scuffs and some scratches. There are about 3 scratches I can feel with my finger. The labels are pretty clean. As for the sound, using my set up the record does sound much better than you would expect by just looking at it. There is some soft crackling present almost throughout the whole record. The music is for the most part pretty clean and audible despite the soft crackling. The crackling does get a little louder during the songs, "Pale Blue Eyes" and "I'm Set Free". There is also some ticks and pops that are present in those two songs. No skips. Overall the whole album sounds pretty decent considering its age and how soft is the music.

This is a must have album!
