One of several by Temple I have on offer. Recorded in 1937 with Charlie McCoy or Temple on guitar and Joshua Altheimer on piano. Temple was an interesting and quite popular artist who recorded two Skip James/Bentonia style numbers at his first session for Vocalion in 1935,'The Evil devil blues' being  the issued title in question. 'Cypress Grove' was not issued unfortunately but presumably was also based on James's version. They may have known each other or maybe he had heard James' first Paramount coupling of 'Devil got my woman' and 'Cypress Grove blues' ? Fascinating.
