Solid though imperfect Mono first pressing of this hard to find Henderson LP featuring “Van Gelder” and Plastylite “Ear” stamped into run-out grooves. Both labels read “Blue Note Records Inc, New York USA,” while back cover reads “Blue Note Records Inc, 43 West 61st St, New York 23.” Great daily use copy that would benefit from a good cleaning.

 

Vinyl: VG-. Vinyl has visible cosmetic scratches and smudges. Numerous pops and clicks and one significant pop on Side 1. Side 2 a bit cleaner and hovers between VG- and VG. Some background noise in quieter passages. RVG production shines through as always. Labels are clean overall; Side 2 label has initials of previous owner. See photos for details.

 

Cover: VG-. Cover is intact and retains original bright matte finishing, but shows its age with foxing and smudging. There is a two inch seam split along the bottom right edge, along with plenty of wrinkles and dings and foxing all over. Initials of previous owner lightly written on back. Cover is structurally sound otherwise. See photos for details.

 

LP will come in protective Mobile Fidelity archive-quality sleeve. Cover will come in thick vinyl protective sleeve.
