JAMES DEAN RECORD STORE ** MARION, INDIANA
Originally released in 1959, "Tornado" was just a local hit in Central Indiana USA but received global popularity in the 80s when it was bootlegged in the UK on the Northwood label. It was also released in Germany on "DeeJay Jamboree" by those fabulous folks at BEAR FAMILY.
It is now considered a Rock 'n Roll classic for its pioneering use of the Kalamazoo tremolo by guitarist Jerry Hedges. It has also been called the "missing link" between late rockabilly and early punk.
