Superb VG+ Mono Sun Ra The Futuristic Sounds of Sun Ra Savoy MG12169. Superb VG+ Mono first pressing of this holy grail of avant-garde jazz. Labels are maroon with silver lettering. Back cover reads “Savoy Record Co., Inc., Newark, New Jersey, P.O. Box 1000.”

Vinyl: VG+. Vinyl is clean and shiny with a brilliant luster.There are some light smudges and dust on the edges, but these are cosmetic only and have no effect on play. Tiniest bit of crackle at beginning of each side. No skips, pops, or clicks. LP sounds VG++/EX with enormous and room-filling sound. A copy to cherish. See photos for details.

Cover: VG+. Cover is beautiful (probably more EX), with nice glossy finish on classic Harvey cover painting. There is some foxing at the top and a bit of flaking on edges and spine. The back cover is also in excellent condition, with light foxing on top and bottom. A previous owner has written on and underlined sections of the back text. None of it affects the clarity of the back text, and in fact is quite interesting as a historical artifact. See photos for details.

LP will come in protective Mobile Fidelity archive-quality sleeve. Cover will come in thick vinyl protective sleeve.
