From July 1985 or so through late 1988 I collected a ton of underground punk and industrial records. Most of the bands I liked you couldn't get CDs of anyway, so with an eye towards archiving (both of my parents worked as preservationists & curators at museums in upstate NY) what I did instead was to listen to each new record I bought ONCE on a direct-drive turntable as I recorded it to a cassette, then file it in a heavy polyvinyl sleeve in a crate in my closet.
All of these records have therefore been in storage for 30+ years, and while I haven't examined any of them them closely under special vinyl inspection lamps and sure haven't played any of them again twice - I haven't even owned a turntable since 1993! - can tell you that they are all in just about pristine condition, not counting some age-yellowing to the inner paper sleeves and bends to the corners of the stiff outer sleeves on a few of them which may or may not be visible in the pictures I took for this listing.
All records graded on an amateur best-endeavor basis, I've never worked in a record store and pretty much lost the fever for collecting as soon as I got a college girlfriend so please do examine all photographs carefully and consider any questions you may have before you buy, as there are no returns.

"The man who was their leader The charge of multiple murder" "Charles Manson, cult leader"
"THIS LP REPRESENT RECORDINGS MADE BY CHARLES MANSON PRIOR TO THE TATE-LABIANCA MURDERS. THERE WAS SOME SPECULATION AT THE TIME, THAT A RECORD PRODUCER WHO HAD PREVIOUSLY OWNED THE TATE HOME AND HAD EARLIER REJECTED MANSON'S RECORDINGS, WAS THE INTENDED TARGET. THIS THEORY WAS SUBSEQUENTLY DISPROVEN HOWEVER, EVERY PRODUCER MANSON HAD APPROACHED WITH HIS RECORDINGS ULTIMATELY RECEIVED DEATH THREATS AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER, AND IT WAS SUBSEQUENTLY SHOWN THAT MANSON HAD TARGETED FOR ASSASSINATION A NUMBER OF FAMOUS RECORDING ARTISTS WHOSE ONLY CRIME WAS THEIR SUCCESS."
Back of LP jacket has the above, all caps statement, extra shout-outs, and a detailed, fine-print prison interview with Manson about these recordings.
