If you love Creedence (and who doesn't?) THIS is the set you need to own.
All seven CCR studio albums have been meticulously, deliciously re-mastered at Abbey Road Studios. Pressed on 180-gram vinyl with staggeringly beautiful packaging and extras, this set is must-have for collectors.
The Abbey Road mastering process uses "half-speed" technology to extract every last detail of the original recording. Each album is then placed gently into replica first-pressing packaging, with a corresponding 80-page book featuring new liner notes, historic photos and band ephemera.
You'll hear hits like “Proud Mary,” “Up Around The Bend,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?,” “Down on the Corner,” “Fortunate Son,” “Bad Moon Rising” -- and many more -- in a totally new way.
In 1993 Creedence Clearwater Revival were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. During his speech honoring the band, Bruce Springsteen noted, “I stand here tonight still envious of that music’s power and its simplicity. They were hits filled with beauty and poetry and a sense of the darkness of events, of history. An American tradition shot through with pride, fear and paranoia. They rocked and played great together… they weren’t the hippest band in the world, just the best.”
The collection contains:
Creedence Clearwater Revival (1968) Bayou Country (1969) Green River (1969) Willy and the Poor Boys (1969) Cosmo’s Factory (1970) Pendulum (1970) Mardi Gras (1972)If you grew up with these records, the new pressings will reveal nuances to songs that are embedded deep in your DNA. If you want to introduce someone to one of America's greatest-ever bands, you can't do any better than this. Either way, this is special. Get it while you can.
