This 34 track 12" LP compilation was released in 1982 by Avantgarde no wave jazz punk master, Elliot Sharpe on his Zoar imprint. This is the original vinyl version and while the State of the Union project has been rereleased in expanded form on CD format, this is the original version which has become an essential document of early New York City No Wave and Free Jazz underground. Each track clocks in at around the 1:00 minute mark or less. Some of the tracks are musical, some are spoken word. All of it, excellent!
