CATALOGUE:EISLAND ILPS 9449 MATRIX:ILPS 9449 A2 / B2 'JONZ' ETCHED IN DEAD WAX SIDE ONE

THIS ALBUM CAME FROM A WELL KNOW MANAGER/AGENT/PROMOTER WHO WAS ACTIVE IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY FROM THE EARLY SIXTIES RIGHT THOUGH TO JUST A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. I HAVE PURCHASED HIS COLLECTION AND WILL BE OFFERING SOME GEMS OVER THE COMING DAYS AND WEEKS. MOST OF THE ALBUMS HAVE EITHER NEVER BEEN PLAYED OR PERHAPS JUST ONCE, AND A LARGE MAJORITY OF THEM ARE PROMOTIONAL COPIES.

TO LISTEN TO THE RECORD, PLEASE PRESS PLAY ON THE PLAYER, AND WAIT FOR IT TO LOAD. IT CAN TAKE UP TO A MINUTE. THE NEW SOFTWARE IS SLOWER THAN THE OLDER ONE. BY THE TIME YOU HAVE READ THROUGH THE DESCRIPTION IT SHOULD START TO PLAY

THE RECORD

THE LABELS

THE MULTICOLOURED LABELS ARE IN MINT CONDITION. THERE IS NOT ONE BLEMISH ON THEM AND THE COLOUR FULLY STRETCHES INTO THE UNWORN SPINDLE HOLE. THE SPINDLE HOLE SHOWS JUST ONE MICROSCOPIC SPIDER LINE SHOWING JUST HOW LITTLE THIS LP HAS BEEN NEAR A TURNTABLE

THE VINYL

THE VINYL HAS RETAINED ALL OF THE ORIGINAL LUSTRE AND SHEEN AND IN DAYLIGHT IT  LOOKS ABSOLUTELY MINT. EVEN WHEN PLACED UNDER INTENSE ILLUMINATION THERE ARE NO MORE THAN A COUPLE OF WISPY HAIRLINES

PLAYING THE RECORD

I BELIEVE THAT IF YOU ARE GOING TO SPEND YOUR MONEY ON A FANTASTIC COLLECTABLE VINYL, THAT YOU SHOULD BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO HEAR WHAT YOU ARE BUYING. I HAVE THEREFORE INVESTED IN THE SOFTWARE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO DO JUST THAT.

I HAVE RECORDED THE ENTIRE LP FROM START TO FINISH AS I DO NOW WITH ALL MY LISTINGS AS I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT BIDDERS WOULD LOVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE ABLE TO HEAR THE RECORD BEFORE LAYING A BID

THIS IS A SERVICE I AM DELIGHTED TO BE ABLE TO OFFER MY CUSTOMERS

THIS VINYL PLAYS WITHOUT ANY BACKGROUND CRACKLE WHATSOEVER, AND CERTAINLY NO LOUD CLICKS EITHER

NO DISTORTION AT ANY POINT TO THE STEREO REPRODUCTION, SO NO GROOVE WEAR

NO EMBEDDED VINYL NOISE OTHER THAN THE BAREST TRACE OF ISLAND NOISE IN A COUPLE OF LINING GROOVES

A CLEAR , AND LOUD STEREO REPRODUCTION WHICH IS TRULY MAGNIFICENT

I HEARD NO AUDIBLE STATIC DURING THE PLAY

THE LP JUST HASN'T BEEN PLAYED AND HAS A REMARKABLE AUDIO PERFORMANCE WITH I AM DELIGHTED TO GRADE AS MINT MINUS

BUT DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT TAKE A GOOD LISTEN AND JUDGE IT FOR YOURSELF AGAINST YOUR OWN STANDARDS

THE SLEEVE

NON LAMINATED GAEFOLD SLEEVE

THE FRONT SURFACE IS FLAT, AND FREE FROM ANY HEAVY CREASES OR DEEP CREASE LINES. THE SLEEVE HAS SPORADIC RUBBING TO THE EDGES AND A LITTLE IS VISIBLE ON THE OPENING EDGE

NO RING WEAR OR RECORD SHAPE WHATSOEVER. THE CORNERS SHOW A SLIVER OF RUBBING

THE MAIN BODY OF THE COVER HAS DEEP RICH COLOURS THAT HAVE REMAINED FREE FROM ANY RUBBING

THERE IS JUST ONE PRESSURE LINE NEXT TO THE SPINE. ONE ALONG THE TOP EDGE, TWO ALONG THE BOTTOM EDGE, AND ZERO THUMB LINES NEAR THE OPENING EDGE.

THE TOP EDGE HAS RUBBING TO THE CORNER AREAS WITH THE REST OF THE SURFACE FULLY COLOURED

THE BOTTOM EDGE IS SIMILAR

THE SPINE IS FLAT AND FREE FROM SQUASHING. THERE ARE WHITE FLECKS OF UNDERCARD VISIBLE, MAINLY ON THE LEADING EDGES AND THE TOP AND BOTTOM EDGES ALSO HAVE SOME RUB

THE OPENING EDGE IS RAZOR SHARP

THE REAR SURFACE IS VERY SIMILAR TO THE FRONT WITH SOME EDGE PRESSURE LINES AND SOME RUB TO THE CORNERS

OPENING THE GATEFOLD REVEALS TWO NEAR PRISTINE INNER PANELS, JUST SOME PRESSURE LINES ON THE TOP EDGES

THE ORIGINAL PLAIN BLACK DIE CUT INNER SLEEVE IS FLAT CLEAN AND UN-SPLIT.

I AM VERY HAPPY TO GRADE THIS SLEEVE EX+

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BID IF YOU CHOSE TO GO FOR IT
