I purchased this vintage five (5) record set in 1972 (see postmark on the box) and...I admit it....opened the box but NEVER played them! I'm sure they were available as a promotion...Unforgettable Hits by The Original Artists Who Made Them Famous..."Buy this set for only $6.00 plus shipping and handling..." :) ....see total price of $8.50 on the box, top right-hand corner. Two of the records were a promotion by KRIZ 1230 AM...(Phoenix, Az. ??) featuring the "First KRIZ People's Concert October 23, 1971" which I'm assuming was recorded live, with proceeds (I'm assuming) going to CODAC. My limited research led me to CODAC as an acronym for Community Organization for Drug Abuse Control that was also located in Arizona. Just recently dug out of a closet, these records have never been removed from the original mailing box and therefore they remain in brand new, unplayed condition. With a total of 97 GREAT HITS this would make a fun addition for you "oldies"...gulp!! ...or oldie record collectors!!
